Constant optimization, improvement and addition of new helpful features to adopt to the changing demands in studios: that´s what our design studio customers appreciate. Our software development team always has an open ear for the demands and special wishes of our customers and is integrating those into the new versions of DesCAD. Version 7.2 continues this tradition and again contains exciting new features and helpful improvements.
The new version contains the following new features:
- The new Excalibur+ milling head is fully implemented in DesCAD
- New alignment function: The user can combine the center of a circle with a surface point in a very simple function. This makes measuring of e.g. pylons or other features much easier.
- The module Favorites was added. It can be filled with the most frequently used functions to have them always available.
- The mouse navigation of 3D objects is now fully customizable. In case there is another CAD/CAM software in use, the 3D navigation can be aligned to avoid confusion.
- The mouswheel can now be used to zoom towards the mousepointer location
Additionally we implemented the following improvements:
- Improved usability for Flip Faces function. The dialog for orientating CAD faces manually & automatically is simplified.
- Default material settings for CAD, STL, etc. objects are updated to provide a cleaner look.
- Rendering materials are updated and fit actual applications.
- Simplified usability of measuring functions -> plane, line and point.
- The Power-Safe function can be set over DesCAD Settings.
- Forecast validation of milling files will be done automatically.
- The DesCAD installer requires less interaction with the user.
